The Picycle project aims to provide crowdsourced safety data, with the goal of improvement in cyclist safety.
To do this we are building a data set identifying areas of risk for cyclists. Providing empirical information to guide decisions of future cycle infrastructure planning.

Sensory data is collected by devices attached to bicycles.
This data will initially be comprised of geographical information as well as safety data (to highlight near misses/narrow maneuvering conditions).
The long term design includes support other sensory data. All data is stored in the widely used GeoJSON standard.

Watch this space for information about where we're opperating as soon as we go live.

All data collected cannot be explicitly linked to any single person.
Data will be shared with organisations and businesses to aid infrastructure development and benefit cyclist safety.
